Stannon Tor

Stannon Tor is a quiet, unassuming tor, with very little to attract a Dartmoor walker. There is a decent track to Stannon Farm at its base, an impressive sheepfold structure on its south western side and a reasonable gathering of granite at the top. However with so many other things around it, it can get overlooked. The views to the south and west are fantastic and it makes a good first tor before heading on to Grey Wethers or Sittaford Tor. This tor does not lie within any military firing range.
