White Tor

White Tor is one of the most historic tors on Dartmoor, it is the site of a Neolithic/Bronze Age fort and settlement which is over 3000 years old. It sits on the western side of Dartmoor high above Peter Tavy with outlines of settlement walls and buildings clear to see. Views northwards towards Great Links Tor are superb and to the south and east Cox Tor and the mast at Princetown are easy to see. White Tor sits on the edge of the Merrivale firing range so take note of firing times before heading beyond this tor towards Cocks Hill.
