This one is a fairly nice tor with pretty decent views in all directions. Wind Tor is located just south and west from Widecombe in the Moor and is of modest height. You get good views down to South Hams and across to Corndon Tor, and further round across to Bellever Tor and the centre of Dartmoor around Higher White Tor. Back up along the ridge to Hameldown and then easterly you can just make out Haytor, Top Tor and Rippon Tor. It’s a very easy walk as there are plenty of parking spots along the roads that surround this tor. There are no military ranges near this tor.
