Wittaburrow is another of those Dartmoor tors with a large rocky cairn at the top in a similar way to that of Western White Barrow. Its a very simple tor to get to the top of with parking along the road beside Blackslade Down or at Cold East Cross and a good path that leads through Blackslade Ford and then up to Wittaburrow. The views in every direction are excellent and well worth the effort. There are a number of other rocky outcrops near the summit allowing for plenty of places to sit and drink in the vista. There are no firing ranges near here.
