Cataloo Steps

These stepping stones cross the River Tavy just downstream from Standon Steps Bridge and not too far from Tavy Cleave. These steps are particularly susceptible to being submerged when the Tavy is running high and they are likely to be underwater during the winter months quite frequently. Still in summer they are a good crossing point as they are part of the Lych Way. They can be difficult to find, unless you come from the Coffin Wood (East) side as they are hidden in bushes and you need to push through a bit to see them, the path across the last field after the gates is also a bit feint. If there is an issue with the river running high then the bridge to the north is a short distance away.
