A simple stone bridge, built in the middle 1800s near to the village of Meavy, Downstream by 50 metres or so is an old ford and stepping stones point, which has clearly been amended to include the road and now a bridge. It crosses the River Meavy as it leaves the Burrator Reservoir on its way to meet the River Plym at Shaugh Bridge. The bridge is very narrow, especially with the ever widening cars of today, however the bridge itself was widened by 2 feet, meaning it much have been a bit of a squeeze across this one.
