Hurston Double Clapper Bridge

To be honest if there wasn’t two of them I wouldn’t bother with these. The streams they cross are minor, the first is actually over the infant River Bovey. The second is just a minor trickle of water which joins the river. However two clappers in close proximity are a good find and make the walk to Jurston a better walk.

As you leave Hurston and head along the footpath towards Jurston you will cross these two clapper bridges. This one is the first the second is by the tree before the gate

The second clapper by the tree over a minor trickle, the first one over there is across a better stream (Bovey River)!
