Prince Hall Bridge

This stone bridge sits over the West Dart river in a glorious setting. Take a walk down the permitted path past the Prince Hall Hotel, to this spot, on a calm summers day and sit and enjoy the river bubbling past. The bridge sits in a lovely location, green grass around, trees, rocks and a meandering river. The age of the bridge is unclear, the hotel up the hill was built in 1787 and the belief is the bridge replaced the ford that was here previously. Cross the bridge and you get to Moorlands Farm or open moorland on Royal Hill and paths taking you to Swincombe Bridge and Sherberton.
