This cross stands on the old route between Tavistock Abbey and Plympton Priory, used by the monks to help navigate their way across Dartmoor. This cross has also been called Roman Cross, probably linked to a Roman Catholic cross. The top and base of this cross is original with the shaft a replacement. Previously the shaft was a windowsill of a house down in Lee Moor village before restoring this cross to its former glory.
