Like the hill that it sits on this stone circle is overshadowed by the Scorhill Stone Circle nearby. This stone circle doesn’t have the grandeur of Scorhill, all of its stones have fallen and it can be tricky to find because of this. It is easier to see it from above so approach from the summit of Buttern Hill walking in the direction of Watern Tor to the south west. A few grassy paths will bring you to the circle which is of a decent diameter. It is believed to be of the Bronze Age and built around the same time as Scorhill.
