This cross sits, as its name suggests, in the middle of the village of Sampford Spiney, right next to the church. It is located on a small green just below the old school (which unfortunately is now a private house). Its a tall skinny cross in good condition, with no breaks in the stone. This cross was used on the route between Tavistock Abbey and Plympton Priory, although slightly off the route nearby Huckworthy Bridge could be used to get here and visit the church at Sampford.
