This weir sits on the River Erme behind Stalldown Barrow. There is a small pool/lake before the river hits the weir, running over the stone structure and down towards Ivybridge. Looking at this weir there doesn’t appear to be anyway of using it as a crossing of the river, although there are some rocky sections a couple of hundred metres upstream which I have used before. There is a good track used by South West Water to this weir from New Waste which makes for a quick way to walk out here.
