This is not a bridge, more of a crossing point over the River Bovey within Lustleigh Cleave. The path on the map shows a gap where it meets the river on either side, and this will be because the crossing is actually lots of large boulders within the river which provide a way across. Now on most days this won’t be a problem, with the river gurgling below the large rocks. However after heavy rain the rocks can become overcome with water, which when you see them after a dry spell can take some imagination. However the bank on the western side bears testament to the power of the water as some severe erosion has started in recent years. Its also a good spot for a picnic or a stopping off point for a loop walk around Lustleigh Cleave.
