Being the main town on Dartmoor, Princetown has a number of parking spots to hopefully meet all the needs. There is the main car park beside the tourist centre and national park museum, this main car park is a pay car park. There are also a few laybys that give a bit of free parking for those there quick enough. This is obviously a busy spot, especially in summer and when the snow comes. Which is were we need to be careful, there are plenty of people who live and work in this area, parking on verges and covering gates for farms is just plain ignorant. Be mindful of where you park and respectful of those who make a living in the area.
