Cocks Hill is a fairly boring, flat, characterless hill sitting near Langstone Moor, the River Walkham and the Lych Way. It is also pretty boggy, I visited in June and it was boggy, I wouldn’t be coming here in winter unless it was frozen! There are hardly any paths to the hill so the best angle to come in from is the Lych way, heading off from White Barrow on the maps. Cocks Hill is within the Merrivale Firing Range so obey the notices, and tell the army they are welcome to it!!
