Leigh Tor sits in a strange spot on Dartmoor and being a low tor on my list, at a mere 175 metres, it can make it tricky to find. It lies just off the road between New Bridge and Poundsgate, with Aish Tor one side of the road and Leigh Tor the other. There are parking spots between the two, beside the road making them the easiest starting spot to get to the tor. Its only a 5 minute walk from the roadside parking and when you get there you are treated to a stack of rocks more in keeping with a much larger tor. Its a fair scramble to the actual top with one hell of a drop down the other side, from the top you get good views down to Spitchwick, across to Buckland Beacon and north to Blackadon Tor and Bel Tor. No military firing ranges near this tor.
