Pin Tor is a small tor in the north eastern corner of Dartmoor overlooking the Teign valley. Its an easy tor to get to with roadside parking to the lane to the south and a path up to the summit. The views are reasonable especially north and east as a  patchwork of fields stretch out. Mardon Down can easily be seen to the south east however Butterdon Hill blocks a lot of the view to the south west towards the main Dartmoor tors and hills. There are no military areas near here.
