Rippon Tor

Rippon Tor is situated on the eastern side of Dartmoor not to far from the ever popular Haytor. It has fantastic views to the sea at Teignmouth, to Princetown and its mast as well as across to Haytor. There is a large wall to the Teignmouth side which is an old rifle range built on Rippon Tor’s lower slopes. This is an easy tor to get to with plenty of parking spots along the B3387 or by parking at Cold East Cross and heading up from there. There are no military ranges in this area.
