Rookery Brook Tor

This is a pretty impressive looking tor, which seems to be in the nearby cottage’s garden. In fact it isn’t and can be reached when the nettles are low to the right of the cottage driveway, or from above in the woodlands. There are two pretty huge outcrops that even in summer still stick out from the greenery around them. They can also be easily seen from the minor road which runs from Bridford towards Stone, and sits by the same brook that runs past Rowdon Rock. Like Rowdon Rock there are no views from here or firing ranges nearby.

A bit of bracken and nettles growing in the summer, but it should be easier in the spring before they grow to get nearer
