Shell Top

Shell Top is a prominent hill on the southern edge of Dartmoor, it can be seen from Plymouth and stands tall as you drive along the A38 from Plymouth towards Ivybridge. Obviously this position gives it fantastic views over the South Hams area of Devon and round to Plymouth Sound itself. The summit is a small stack of rocks which can be easily linked in a walk with the nearby Penn Beacon, starting out from either Quick Bridge or Blackaton Cross. No military firing in this area.
