Well yes there is a Snowdon on Dartmoor!! Not as high, spectacular or difficult to climb as the Welsh mountain of the same name. But at least you can say you’ve climbed Snowdon to your friends without leaving Devon!! The hill itself has a couple of cairns at the top and is a fairly flat, uninspiring place to be honest. The long distance views in all directions are excellent and an easy walk can be made from here to either Puper’s Hill or Ryder’s Hill, beware of the boggy ground to the latter of these, even in summer. No military areas around here.
