Wacka Tor

Probably one of the best named tors on Dartmoor and also one of the least frequently visited. This one sits on the southern moor not too far from Three Barrows and Ugborough Beacon. The top has a few granite lumps trying to be the top, however to me it looks as though the outcrop to the east just about wins. Its an easy walk to get here from Three Barrows, alternatively you can walk up from Shipley Bridge on a long steady climb, first towards Ball Gate. The views from the top are great to the south across Ugborough Moor and well as easterly across to Shipley Tor and Brent Hill. There are no military areas near here.
