Lyd Bridge and stepping stones

This is a small wooden bridge, a set of stepping stones and a ford across the River Lyd as it begins to widen on its way to Lydford. It is also known as High Down bridge and ford. There’s a car park nearby and a pub (The Dartmoor Inn, Lydford). Its an attractive spot with Arms Tor and Brat Tor providing a backdrop, if the water is low then the stepping stones can easily be used, it is also a very popular spot with the car park busy in the summer months.
