Ilsington Church

A small village, called Ilsington, in the south east corner of the moor holds this church. St Michael’s is a medieval church with some lovely stained glass windows inside. The current building was built in the 13th/14th century with the normal updating in the 15th and 16th centuries. The entrance the the church grounds is through a fine gateway built through a house, although there is a second gate next to the pub in the village.
