This is the cross for the village of Sheepstor to the south of Burrator Reservoir and sits outside the church gate. This cross had fallen into disrepair during the 1800s and was being used as a farm animal rubbing post, having previously been used as a gatepost. The base also lay broken nearby. In 1910 the reverend and men from the village reassembled the cross and two new arms were made for the cross to complete it, in time for the commemoration of King George V.
