Fernworthy Reservoir and Dam

Fernworthy Reservoir sits in the north eastern side of Dartmoor, near to Chagford. It was opened in 1942 in order to supply drinking water to Torbay. From the dam starts the South Teign River. It is surrounded by Fernworthy Forest and like Burrator reservoir in South Devon, is a popular place for families, birdwatchers, cyclists, walkers and anglers.
