This is a selection of parking spots to the north and east of Moretonhampstead and one in the village itself. Basically the spots on the eastern side of the A382. This covers a number of hills and rocks that you will find over here. Blackingstone Rock is easy, here there is a car park that will get at least 10 well parked cars in. Heltor Rock is also easy, and rarely visited, this is parking on the grass verge or at the junction. The same can be said for Butterdon Hill and the grass verge parking to the west of the hill. Hingston Rock however is very difficult to get near to the stile to get to this one. The stile is the only permitted route to Hingston Rocks, I found roadside parking about 70 metres down the road (it was just on a grass verge and my small car squeezed off the road enough to make it safe), however other than that the best spots are either side of Mardon Down and then make a walk of it.
