Leftlake

Leftlake china clay pits sit on Ugborough Moor, north of Three Barrows, right beside the Two Moors Way path that leads to Redlake. Like nearby Redlake this was a china clay works, the pit of which is now filled with water, there are a number of buildings to the west of the lake, there’s a bridge which would have carried the Puffing Billy railway and there’s also a small spoil heap. Its a fantastic place, remote and quiet.
