There a quite a few car parking spots around this town to the south of Dartmoor. There is the main car park in the town by the leisure centre (pay and display). There is the park and ride car park which is good for the Two Moors Way and Puffing Billy tramway path to Redlake. Further east there are a couple of spots on a lane up to the moor which can easily be found by the large chimney at the foot of the turn off. There is then a further spot up to the north west of Ivybridge, by the railway line which can be used for walking on Hanger Down.
