This is a small tor that could easily be missed in between all the rock star tors in this area. You have Haytor to the south east, Hound Tor to the east, with Chinkwell Tor and Hameldown to the west. This one is surrounded by far more popular tors, however if you want a bit of quiet in this area then this is as good as it gets. The views to all these tors are good in a 360 view as the ground falls away around this tor. There are a couple of ways to get to this summit, from Honeybag Tor head downhill to a gate by the woods, this will put you on an easy path to the summit. There is also a larger gate on the road to Hound Tor car park which is a permissive path, this provides a route straight across this tor, meaning you don’t have to double back and you can then link Honeybag Tor to Hound Tor easily. There are no military firing ranges near this tor.
