Loughrigg Fell

After getting a taster for Lakeland fell walking last summer, this was our second Wainwright and a much more sedate family friendly walk. Rain threatened later in the walk as we reached the summit but thankfully stayed away, although it did cool the temperature down a fair bit!

Route – White Moss Car Park – River Rothay- Loughrigg Terrace- Loughrigg Fell – Loughrigg Terrace – River Rothay – White Moss Car Park
Distance – 3 miles     Start time – 11.00am     Time taken – 2 1/2 hrs    Highest Point – Loughrigg Fell 335m
Weather – Dry and sunny to start, clouding over and cool on the summit
