Staying in Troutbeck it would have been daft of us not to have a walk up to Wansfell via Nanny Lane, the weather looked as though it would cover the tops in low cloud, however as we reached the summit it cleared enough to give us some views.

Looking a bit grey as we look back towards the house

Damp start up Nanny Lane

And again from higher up

We crossed the stile at the end of Nanny Lane and headed up into the cloud

The boys by the true summit (Baystones) as the cloud clears a little.

A least its not raining!!

The cloud lifts again to give a glimpse of Windermere

Me and the boys on Wansfell Pike

Windermere

The cloud is lifting as we leave the summit of Wansfell Pike

Typical, a cloud free Wansfell Pike

Same state on Wansfell!

Heading back down Nanny Lane

A look back up at the Wansfell ridge from the end of a murky walk but we all really enjoyed the Nanny Lane route to this one
