Another nice day and time for a walk on new ground, on a circular walk of Royal Hill. I have to say I didn’t expect too much from the walk but the views to the north are very good. However the walk back from Tor Royal to Peat Cot was fairly boggy at this time of year and might be best left until summer in future.

I can just make out the red flags on Beardown Tor, must be live firing in the Merrivale range

Fox Tor Mires in the distance, we joined the line half way up the hill on the right, which is the Devonport Leat, that took us back to Whiteworks
