After our trip to Italy we spent a week or so back at home, sorting things, washing and eating mountains of strawberries that had grown whilst we were away. My mum and dad had been over to water the garden (this was mid/end of June so part of the long hot summer) so when we got back we had courgettes and strawberries a plenty. We didn’t feel like heading out to walk straight away, so we just made do with a walk from the door, around the expanding country park that is being created here. Previous farmers fields are now paths and routes winding their way around a short valley, giving great views across South Hams and up to the southern end of Dartmoor. The walk is around an hour or so, along pavements to start and then into the parkland. They had opened a new section on the far side of the valley, which we hadn’t been to so took that in as well.
